The problem
Premature births with no equipment to receive them
In Cameroon, the national need for incubators is still estimated at around 5,000 units. Every missing incubator, every breakdown left unrepaired for want of parts, translates into lives lost in the first hours.
The campaign was born of the Group's founding tragedy: in 2016, five premature babies lost at Yaoundé Central Hospital for want of a working incubator.
The solution
An incubator designed, manufactured and maintained in Africa
MAWOUO runs on grid, solar or battery power, is repaired locally and comes with a two-year warranty. Every funded unit is installed, commissioned and monitored.
